Hi John
some great images. My sister’s partner used to work for the Scottish National Trust & one of his jobs was to count the puffins annually on St Kilda. Turns out that they count active burrows rather than birds because they don’t move around.

Hi B, it was an impressive area, unfortunately the awful Avian Flu is causing chaos around most of the coast. Particularly hard hit are the Gannets at Bass Rock, the Sunday after we left the NT closed the Farne Islands for visitors – while you can still do the boat trips it was sickening to see the number of dead birds in the water 🙁
