Jacob’s ladder booklet Here are the instructions from ‘Making Handmade Books’ by Alisa Golden. It is for a three panel version. There is a five panel version in the book, & in principle, I expect you could make longer panels once you have grasped how the structure works. The book has all sorts of different bindings, structures etc, of varying levels of practicality & design. It is not specifically about photography, although it could be used for that purpose. I’d recommend it if you are interesting in making books which are out of the ordinary, & look very hand-crafted, rather than anything which could be printed commercially. For a good, general book on book making, I recommend ‘Making books: a guide to creating hand-crafted books’ by Goode & Yonemura, which is very clear & practical. Here are the instructions from ‘Making Handmade Books’ by Alisa Golden.
