Statement of Intent

Holsworthy Cattle Market is due for demolition in about 18 months’ time and I didn’t want its history to be lost.  It is a wonderful old meeting place for local farmers who come to buy or sell their cattle and I have therefore tried to capture the atmosphere of the market as it now:

• With cattle arriving and being prepared for auction
• The farmers who not only meet for business but also for the latest gossip
• And then the auction itself culminating with the final clean up.
