Statement of Intent: Photo microscopy – Hidden Wonders

I have a special interest in the genre of macro photography, capturing the smallest detail, but I wanted to discover more so I decided to embark on another challenge and go one step further to explore photo microscopy

It became apparent that by connecting my camera to the various microscope lenses and dissecting the flora, I opened an exciting window on an unseen magical world, beyond the detail and sharpness of macro.

So, I had left macro behind and was completely captivated with the fascination of being inside the smallest flower.

Beneath the outer surface of a flower are quite compelling areas of colour, shape and structure that botanical nature keeps safely hidden.

Capturing these features enabled me to blend my photography with my joy of art and share these images that possess a fascinating array of design features with soft focus showing the wonders of the natural world.
