Statement of Intent

As long as I can remember, having been introduced to the world of Flower Fairies as a child, I imagined a workshop where ‘fairies’ constructed millions of flowers, each unique.

I have always been enthralled by the complexity or simplicity of flora in all its forms, and for some years I was able to study this in detail whilst making sugar and porcelain flowers for wedding cakes.

My images are the latest development in my understanding and admiration for the nature of flowers, seeds and leaves and are my own artistic expression of the beauty and intricacy of nature’s architecture.
