Zoom Speaker: Kathleen Clemons ‘The Art of Flower Photography’         ZOOM FROM HOME

Katheleen’s presentations usually last about one hour followed by a Q&A session.

Kathleen is based in Maine, in the north eastern United States and she is known for her flower portraits produced with a very definite, personal style with her creative use of natural light and unique compositions.

Kathleen has a degree in education and she now uses her teaching skills to teach photography in workshops throughout the year and she is also an instructor for the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops and has filmed classes for Creative Live, Craftsy and Lensbaby University. She is the author of “All About Textures”.

Kathleen says, “Selective focus is my favourite way to photograph. I love being able to control just where the viewer’s eye goes in a photo, and I love blur! My images reflect how I see my subjects; my goal is to allow the viewer to see them as I do when they look at my photographs. I have been attracted to selective focus from the day I first learned about shallow depth of field. It really represents the way I see the world. This is part of the joy I have when shooting with a Lensbaby. I see small details when I look at a subject, and try to photograph in a way that shows a viewer how I see”.

Kathleen will be talking to us about her flower photography, including the use of Lensbaby lenses.
