Iñaki Hernandez-Lasa: Architectural Photography, in search of the “genius loci”

Born in Bilbao and living in Ireland since 1990, Iñaki specialises in architectural photography and shares with many photographers his absolute passion for the Guggenheim Museum in his native city. In 2013 Iñaki received a Fellowship of the Irish Photographic Federation (FIPF) and this was followed in 2018 Iñaki with the award of a Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society (FRPS) with a new body of work that displayed an innovative approach into the study of minimalism, shape and form in architectural photography.

A highly respected speaker and judge, Iñaki has photographed some of the most renowned buildings in the world. These include the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in L.A., the City of Arts & Sciences in Valencia, Berlin’s Reichstag and the Milwaukee Art Museum to name but a few.

Iñaki’s talk to us is titled: Architectural Photography, in search of the “genius loci” and we are in for a treat of a wide range of architectural photographs from around the world.
