Sue has visited the Club before, with her husband Peter Brisley, in November 2019 when they delivered their talk ‘Travels towards the edge’. Sue is an accomplished travel photographer and has been awarded a Fellowship of the Irish Photographic Federation, as well as an ARPS, DPAGB, and BPE 5*. In 2020 she achieved EFIAP/ d/2.
Sue has won awards in many national and international competitions including Travel Photographer of the Year, National Geographic Traveller and USA Landscape Photographer of the Year and she is also widely published in the photographic press.
Sue says, ‘My two great passions are photography and travel. The two are inseparable in my mind. I travel to see, to experience and to understand. Photography is a key tool in this, as well as the way I can share the journey later.’
Sue will be presenting more of her travel photographs in the first half of the evening and then ‘hosting’ a discussion of members’ images in the second half. The theme for image submissions will be published nearer the time.
