Robert Harvey ‘Winter Landscape Photography’
Based in Wiltshire, Robert Harvey is a full time professional photographer and he operates his business Natural World Photography to share his passion for landscapes, nature and the night sky. An Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and a Chartered Natural Scientist, Robert worked in environmental management for 20 years. His understanding of how landscapes are formed, wildlife ecology and the natural cycles that influence them make for both compelling photographs and fascinating stories behind them. Careful planning to make the best use of light, seasons, weather, sun, moon and tides is the hallmark of his photography.
Robert will be giving his Winter Landscapes talk and he says ‘Winter light, frost, floods, freezing fog, storms and snow present great challenges and opportunities for outdoor photography’ and his talk highlights all of these. He will show images of winter in Britain, Yellowstone, Arctic Norway and Iceland illustrating how winter transforms landscapes and creates wildlife spectacles and he also shows how to capture the elusive beauty of the aurora borealis.
