Dawn Eagleton ‘Making Candid Portraits in Street Photography’
Dawn lives locally and is an accomplished street photographer she is dedicated to recording unguarded moments and she says that her goal is to reveal the “natural expression or state” of each subject as she captures candid portraits of people going about their everyday lives. Dawn has a keen eye for colour and composition. Her use of windows, condensation, rain, and reflections can sometimes create an abstract image but often imparts a painterly feel to her photographs. Aesthetica on-line magazine says of Dawn’s photography ‘often documenting individuals on public transport who are scrolling through their phones – caught in endless news cycles, social media updates and “always-on” communication. Eagleton holds up a mirror to the moments when no one is watching’.
