Alison McKay ‘The Art of Still Life’
Alison is a keen amateur photographer who has travelled widely to Scandinavia, toured through the Balkans and as far as the Wudang Mountains in China. During these trips she developed an interest in photography especially Landscape, Street and Events.
However, the lockdowns of 2020 limited the ability to get out, so the spare room and back yard became studio areas and an opportunity to practice other styles of photography.
The restricted space led to a focus on Still Life but from an Art and Design perspective.
She is a member of the RPS and had an LRPS panel accepted in 2018 and has a BSc Hons degree in Design and Technology.
She has previously delivered the subject in online Zoom sessions to a number of camera clubs and has updated these as the subject of her presentation tonight.
