20 May 2022 Yearly Print Competition

A splendid array of prints last night with scapes, nature and pictorial all  receiving a significant number of entries – the people category received less entries hence only one winner. Thank you to all members for submitting prints and congratulations to the winners and especially to our overall winner Oscar Tarneberg with his scape- Spicy Rooftops. Judged by Pete McCloskey from Bristol.

The placings are as follows:

Scapes.

1st – Spicy Rooftops –  Oscar Tarneberg.

2nd – Autumn At Fingle – Oscar Tarneberg.

3rd – Majesty In The Mist – Deborah Hammond.

Highly Commended – Stormy Day – Phil Woolley.

People.

Winner – Dyeing Cloth – Sheila Haycox

(Please note there was just a winner in this category given that there were only seven entries).

Nature.

1st – Black-Winged Stilt Mating – Bob Pearson.

2nd – Bass Rock Gannets – Gary Gawler.

3rd – Struggle For Life – Tim Crabb.

Highly Commended – Fox With Log – Mark Broadhurst.

Pictorial.

1st – This Way Out – Martin Lovell.

2nd – Flower In A Blue Vase – Kay Piercy.

3rd – Rachel’s Seat By The Stove – Mel McLoughlin.

Highly Commended – Domain Of The Crystal Skull – Richard Sercombe.

Certificates will be awarded to 1st – 3rd placings and Oscar will also receive the trophy and a voucher to be spent at Devon Picture Framer our generous sponsor this year.
