Mac Bouchere FRPS came to judge our competition. With over 70 entries, he succeeded in commenting authoritatively on the merits and challenges of the prints in all four categories.

The overall winner, and winner of the pictorial category was Anne Whitely, with her fine flower image, titled ‘Out of Darkness’.

The winner of the scapes category was John Baker, with his striking image called ‘Loco-motion’.

Suzanne Parsons won the nature category with her exquisite image ‘ Silver studded blue and ant”.

The winner of the people category was Mehran Ellis with ‘Cultural Reverence’. He chose not to have his image shown on the website, and consequently we are showing the image by the runner up, David Dummett. His characterful image is titled ‘Don’t mess with the young farmers’.

All the winning images, including those with second and third places can be found in our gallery.

This competition brings to an end our 2023/4 season of meetings. We will be holding informal socialising/shooting events over the summer, which are all listed in our yearly programme in the link below. All are welcome, in addition to members, to come along to these events to get a feel for the club. Just turn up, and introduce yourself.

We will start our new season on Thursay 5 September at the Coaver Club. Information about this and future events are in our online calendar.
