The Shades of Grey sub group gave us an enjoyable evening of their work showcasing topics covered over the past year.

Shades is a small group and they produced an impressive portfolio of work carefully presented. It was interesting to see the individual styles of the photographers and their creative interpretation of thematic work.

Graeme then showed his photo tour of Georgia. His images told a story of a proud Republic walking the ‘thin line ‘ between Russia and the West and his images conveyed the desolation, abandonment and faded glory of the architecture and colours in the old sanatoriums of the former Russian empire and Soviet Union, and the high Caucasus scenery. At times bleak, with a real sense of the imminent threats and dangers from the neighbours of this tiny mountainous country.
