Wiltshire based photographer Robert Harvey inspired us with reasons to embrace winter as the best season with all its photographic charms. All the more so when weather brings mist, frost, storms and snow, as well as soft light even at midday. Robert described different weather conditions and associated opportunities; illustrating his approach with stunning images and sometimes stories as to how he realised his intent. In the second half he showed images from 3 of his favourite locations, all in winter – Yellowstone, Norway and Iceland. He is clearly a master of his craft, planning rigorously and prepared to walk and travel miles in challenging conditions, waiting patiently for light or that special moment. Sometimes he says you just get lucky!
